Job Summary

Accountable for supervising and providing technical leadership for the applications staff, including responsibility for hiring and performance evaluations. Designs integrated solutions to maximize information sharing, data integrity and consistency across health system applications. Works with business and clinical users to define, plan and design computer systems, analyze utilization, and provide continual support in alignment with health system and IT department initiatives. Oversees and performs administrative and technical functions related to the activities of the applications team.

Qualifications

? Bachelor’s degree in computer-related studies or related field AND five + years of supervision or management experience.

? A minimum of five years of systems analyst experience, with a solid understanding of database technology and application development methodologies.

? Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the IT industry.

? Experience working with and supporting different software applications.

? Excellent analytical and communication skills.

? Ability to determine methods to improve use and efficiency of existing systems.

? Knowledge of application integration concepts and practices.

? Ability to effectively work in a team environment.

Physical/Behavioral Requirements

Physical requirements include occasional stooping, standing, kneeling, reaching, crawling, frequent sitting and walking. Medium physical force is required (exerting up to 20 pounds to 50 pounds of force occasionally, or 10 - 25 pounds of force frequently, or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects). Visual acuity required for accurate computer operation and documentation. Ability to speak and hear is required for good listening skills and to effectively communicate. Finger dexterity required for frequent use of a keyboard. Ability to effectively manage a high stress environment for working in a fast paced, changing environment.
