Job Summary
Performs designated basic patient care and related nursing tasks to provide optimal/quality care consistent with Hospital mission and Nursing philosophy, goals, standards, and bylaws. Assists the Licensed Nurse in the implementation of nursing care in predictable, uncomplicated, and stable patient situations as directed.
Qualifications
? High School graduate or GED.
? Successful completion of a Division of Facility Services Nurse Aide I Training Program/competency evaluation.
? Verification of listing with the Division of Facility Services Registry.
? Current CPR certification (BLS Course C) unless meets the requirements for restricted CPR certification.
? Successful completion of General Hospital Orientation and demonstration of competency in the Nursing Assistant functions as determined by Organizational Development staff and Registered Nurse staff.
? Ability to hear and speak, and comprehend English language required.
? Ability to determine verbal/written communication skills required.
? Ability to maintain emotional stability and the physical condition necessary to perform CPR unless meets the requirements for restricted CPR certification required.
? Basic computer skills required.
