Job Summary

Builds and delivers food trays to patients, processes meal requests and diet orders through computer system, provides prompt and accurate service to customers using point of service operations. Interacts with patients, employees, medical staff and customers over the phone and in person. Builds nourishment orders and delivers to floor using hospital computer ordering system. 


High School Diploma or GED General Studies Required


2+ Food Service Preferred

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities 

Ability to read and follow written and oral instructions. 

General knowledge of cleaning methods,food service equipment and food preparation and service. 

Ability to perform moderately heavy physical labor.

Ability to maintain and adhere to safety and sanitation standards particularly regarding: personal cleanliness, food preparation/holding/service and equipment. 

Strong customer service and communication skills
Basic math/cash handling skills to add, subtract and make change.
Basic computer skills; ability to learn new computer software programs. 

Ability to multi-task and problem solve to meet the needs of the customer.
